Rick started his welding & fabrication career in 1998 in Leyland at Drinkwater Chassis Engineering, after leaving Preston college with City and Guilds qualifications. In 2006 Rick spent a year in Austrailia gaining further experience in the industry whilst working there, and is still intouch with his former colleagues to this day.

Morning recently in his career, Rick was invited back to Preston College this time as a tutor, after teaching for three years, Rick returned to Welding and Fabrication full time founding Owen Welding & Fabrication specialising in Steel Beam Fabrication, Transport Stillages, Repair and Restoration work and bespoke projects. Now more than 10 years since starting the business Rick is proud to still have customers coming to him who have been a part of this journey since day one.
